'BRU Discover Something New about your loved one with Kaarthi Kaajal"

Following are the terms and conditions for participation in the "BRU Discover Something New about your loved one with Kaarthi Kaajal" Contest, being handled by TechShastra (I) Pvt. Ltd( herein after to be referred as Technology Partner), on behalf of Hindustan Unilever Limited ("HUL "), for promotion of their brand "Bru" Coffee.

• These terms and conditions are applicable for the "Discover Something New about your loved one with Kaarthi Kaajal" being conducted between 1st April, 2012 to 31st July, 2012. The period of the promotion shall hereinafter be referred as "Promotion Period".
• Promotion is valid in the select cities of Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Pondicherry and Tamil Nadu.
• The Promotion is open for the callers who are citizens of India and residents of the abovementioned states and above 18 years of age (hereinafter referred to as 'Participants').
• The IVRS ('Interactive Voice Recording Services') for the purposes of the Promotion is being managed by our Technology Partner TechShastra (I) pvt. Ltd..The Technology Partner shall provide following services such as :
    Provision of IVRS platform
    Provision of tollfree number - 1800-209-9333
    Provision of PRI lines(PRI-Primary Rate Interface )
    Development of online interface for HUL to check Participant responses
• To enter into the promotion the Participants should Call on toll free (1800-209-9333) and record their message of the surprising stories that they have discovered about their loved ones through the Interactive Voice System (hereinafter referred to as "IVRS")
• HUL to appoint an (Dimensions)Event Management Company for validation of entries, selection of winners, winner validation, calling winners and prize distribution.
• The winners for the Promotion shall be made through the selection of the best story/ message by the Event Management Company/HUL. The decision of selection of the Prize Winner shall be final and binding on the winner.
• On receipt of the response through the call on IVRS, the same shall be thoroughly checked and verified by the Event Management Company.
• The decision of HUL in choosing any brand/ model/size pertaining to the prizes shall be final and binding on the winner.
• The selection of the winners for the best responses shall be conducted between 10a.m. and 7p.m. from amongst the eligible calls with valid responses, as the case may be, received during the Promotion period.
• The name of the winners for the Prizes shall be published on the website www.bru.in within 1 month of the end of the Promotion Period. The total number of winners who shall be eligible for the Surprise Prize are 400 in number.
• The prize winners shall be eligible for a prize of 1 year's supply of 'Bru' Instant Coffee from the date of declaration as a winner. (1 year supply shall mean 1.8kg 'Bru' Instant Coffee 25g). The supply of 1 year of Bru instant coffee will be given at one go.
• The winners will be required to take delivery of the prize or complete the formalities relating to the delivery of the prize to the satisfaction of the Event Management Company including payment of applicable taxes etc within 60 days from the receipt of information from the Event Management Company to collect the prize. If no steps are taken for any reason whatsoever by the winner within the said stipulated period the winner's entitlement to get the prize will stand automatically forfeited.
• The Event Management Company shall inform the winner by calling him up on the same mobile or landline number within 1 month of the declaration of the winner, and verify details of the Participant viz. name, age, occupation and complete address of the winner and/or such other information as maybe considered necessary for authentication of the winner. The Event Management Company may also inform the approximate time period the Courier Company may take to visit the address of the winner.
• All prizes shall be given subject to applicable taxes. Any taxes, levies, registration fee, charges, stamp duty/transfer fees (by whatever named called), cost of Conveyance, transportation/ delivery charges shall be solely borne by the winner(s) only.
• All prizes will be handed over to the winner against due acknowledgment of receipt. After receipt of the prize by HUL and the Event Management Company as the case maybe, they shall stand fully absolved of their obligation under the promotion and shall not be liable in any manner to the winner and/or his/her legal representatives on any aspect whatsoever.
• No entries shall be entertained after 31st of July, 23:59:59 hours (date and time for receiving the last entry). Entries received after 31st July 23:59:59 hours on the last day shall be considered as invalid and shall stand rejected.
• A call entry with valid response/ story, which has been chosen as winner shall be valid only once. Such winner shall not be eligible for any further subsequent draw or prize.
• HUL shall neither be liable or responsible for the quality of the product nor its maintenance thereof. The winner shall exclusively handle maintenance or other issues himself/herself. HUL does not extend any warranty or guarantee thereto relating to any prize under the Promotion. The standard warranty and guarantee given by the manufacturer will only be valid.
• HUL shall not in any way be liable for any disruption or disconnection in the telephone line and all such disputes shall lie with the telecom service provider and not with HUL. HUL shall not be liable in any way for any problems faced by the user for registering via the IVRS setup on the number (18002099333).
• HUL /Technology Partner shall not be responsible for loss of call while punching the response/ story in IVRS. Proof of calling is not proof of receipt of the call.
• Operation of the Promotion/Prizes shall be subject to Applicable State laws and regulations.
• The Prizes are non-transferable, non-substitutable and non- encashable.
• HUL reserves the right to alter, modify or change any terms and conditions herein or modify/change, discontinue, terminate, withdraw the promotion at any time during the Promotion Period at its sole discretion without prior notice or assigning any reason.
• The decision of the Company will be final and binding regarding this Promotion and prizes.
• All promotional materials, including details on how to enter and claim prizes are part of these Terms and Conditions of Entry to this Promotion.
• Entry into this Promotion confirms acceptance of all these Terms and Conditions of governing this Promotion and HUL's decisions regarding the same.
• The winner(s) shall execute all such documentation as maybe required and submit photographs to allow Company and their assigns to use, display, copy, modify, distribute, publish sell, assign, exchange, license, sub-license, in any and all locations, in any medium, form or format, in any number, the image or likeness, and the reproductions thereof, and any biographical information furnished by the winner(s) to Company. The winner authorizes HUL, the use of aforesaid in any manner as maybe deemed appropriate by HUL.
• In case the winner is a minor, his/her parent (s) or legal guardian may redeem the prize at his / her own cost and shall execute such documents as deemed necessary by HUL.
• All disputes with respect to this Promotion are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts or forums in Mumbai only.
• Operation of the Promotion/Prizes shall be subject to Applicable State laws and regulations.
• The Prizes are non-transferable, non-substitutable and non- encashable.
• HUL reserves the right to alter, modify or change any terms and conditions herein or modify/change, discontinue, terminate, withdraw the promotion at any time during the Promotion Period at its sole discretion without prior notice or assigning any reason.
• The decision of the Company will be final and binding regarding this Promotion and prizes.
